Every year, my Dad would pack up the family and take us downtown to see the lights, the store windows, the crowds, the Salvation Army bands. And then there were the crowds, the snow, the jam-packed airport, the el...ah, so many memories. Well, this excellent book brings it all back.
Stuffed with nearly 200 excellent black-and-white photos, this book shows Christmas in Chicago for the first three quarters of the 20th century. Plus, each photo has its own, well-written caption. If you remember Christmas in Chicago, then you really must see this book. It is wonderfully produced, a real work of excellence (as are all the books in the Historic Photos series).
