Everyday Mathematics: My Reference Book/Grades 1 & 2 (University of Chicago School Mathematics Project) ReviewI cannot stress how helpful it has been to have this book in the house. We don't use it often, but considering the Everyday Math methods are drastically different from what most parents were taught, I consider this book money well spent. Especially if you are buying it for your first child to be using the Everyday Math method.Part of the Everyday Math program is teaching a concept and going back to it several times, weeks later (or even longer than weeks). You can see how that would make it difficult if your child (or you) couldn't remember how something was done, or the meaning of something, if it wasn't covered yesterday. You'd have to dig through your kid's school papers trying to find one on the subject. You get the idea.
