Chicago on Foot: Walking Tours of Chicago's Architecture ReviewI either own or have gotten from the library every walking guide to Chicago. Despite its age, this book and the AIA Guide to Chicago are my favorite sources for interesting Chicago neighborhood walks. This book has an excellent listing of the interesting buildings in the neighborhood with a brief description and history of each, and is a good compromise between the comprehensive detail of the AIA Guide to Chicago and the many other walking guidebooks which don't have enough information and too short walks. Unfortunately this book is too big to fit in a pocket, so I either copy the relevant pages or carry it in a pack.Chicago on Foot: Walking Tours of Chicago's Architecture Overview
