Frommer's Chicago 2005 (Frommer's Chicago) ReviewI tried a few recommendations from Frommers and a few from local Chicago residents. I found the book's suggestions were more accurate that the residents'!Frommer's isn't shy about giving opinions about places (e.g. "all the restaurants in Greektown are about the same") whereas Lonely Planet & other books tend to sound objective for their restaurant reviews & end up giving the traveler no guidance at all. Beware to call all the places you want to visit though. Even though my Frommers Chicago book is current (2004), I came across 1 restaurant in the book that already closed down, and found hours to the Art Institute had already changed.Frommer's Chicago 2005 (Frommer's Chicago) Overview
